Since I blogged last, I’ve been in Guatemala and now just got to Honduras a couple weeks ago! I decided to go off social media for a while and just wanted to be as present as I could be through most of Guatemala. I find it a little overwhelming sometimes trying to keep everybody up with my life because it is so crazy! But I wanted to recap you all on my time in Guatemala in this blog!

Guatemala was by far one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to. The people, the fire, everything I witnessed there impacted me. The ministry my team partnered with is called Hope and Worship Room, and these people are some of the most God-fearing people I’ve ever met. It was such an incredible time of fellowship and serving alongside this group, and I can say now that they are like family and I can’t wait to see them again. The Lord truly blessed our ministry in Guate, part of me wishes we could’ve stayed there the rest of the race. Our weeks were filled with deep studies in the Word, corporate prayer and intercession, and lots of kids programs throughout the week like VBS, music classes, sports, etc. We were working in a town called San Antonio, and it was so sweet getting familiar with the area and seeing the same faces every day. I loved making little friends with the kids, and getting to meet and pray over their families also. Every day was filled with so many little joys, and I truly think that I’ve seen a whole new side of the Lord being there. What a gift it was to be in Guatemala for the past two months. What a gift it was to worship and pray with my brothers and sisters daily. What a gift it was to dive into the book of Revelation and Daniel with this group, learning and growing in more knowledge of Christ while being built up in his body. I’m just so grateful for that place. I’m so grateful for those people.

One of my favorite nights of the race happened in Guatemala! Our ministry hosted a prayer watch night, where we worshipped and interceded together all night long. It was absolutely beautiful. None of us slept, and we were crying out for the return of Jesus and the preparing of our oil. Being with this family in spaces like that is something I will never forget. We are praying continually that we would be the bride that is found pure, ready, and awake at his return. We are praying that our families would stay awake, stay sober, buy and store oil, preparing themselves for that day. Matthew 24 and 25; I encourage you all to read through those chapters. The day we are in is so urgent! Jesus is coming, and we must be ready. We must wake up. I can’t wait to share more experiences like this when I get home :)

Guatemalans are some of the sweetest people you’ll meet. We would go to these families’ houses and sit and chat for a while, and I always felt so welcome. It was especially impactful hearing from the women; there is just a vulnerability and tenderness in their hearts that is beautiful. These people are so hungry for Jesus. You can hear it in their voices. I just loved praying with them; I loved hearing their love and devotion for the Lord. We would do a women’s Bible study with some of the moms, and those were some of my favorite days. I just love those people. Knowing Spanish was amazing for connection!

The Lord really moved in my heart there, which honestly at times was really difficult and uncomfortable because I was dealing with a lot of things personally with Him. He taught me things I’d never known, but convicted me deeply, and with that I am so thankful for times of testing that are hard with Him. I must be willing to give up and let go of my opinions and my perceptions of now in light of His glory and majesty. Everything must fall at the feet of Jesus. And in the end what will remain? Those who were found faithful. Would we be the people found faithful unto death Lord!

“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” Revelation 12:11

More stories and testimonies to come from that beautiful place in just about a month! I can’t believe the race is almost over. We are currently in Honduras now and I’m hoping to write a blog about this country and get it out soon. Thank you for reading and supporting me!

Fundraising Update:

I’m 95% fundraised with just $835 left before I’m FULLY FUNDED! I’m asking that you would consider partering with me financially to help me finish these last months on the field. I would love to finish this out strongly and be able to serve here in Honduras. If you are not able to donate, any prayer would mean the world. I am so close and just so thankful for how much you all have supported me thus far. Whether it’s $1, $5, $10 or more, your investment is making a difference and I’ve seen it right at my fingertips!
